Hello World!

Welcome to the World of Scraps. When our children were young and bored waiting at a restaurant table for the food to come, we’d play “what can it be” with a knife or fork. A knife is the easier of the two: a teeter-totter, a flag pole, a railroad guard arm, a rifle, and so on. In my downtime from writing – one can only stare at a screen for so long – I started to use some of the “materials I found in our yard like sticks and tiny acorns and stones make scenes for carved tiny creatures. The flowers and other feathery facets are made of wood scraps from the carving. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did making them.
